California High School Basketball - Head-Royce nips Cloverdale
December 29, 2022: Oakland, CA 94602 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Head-Royce Jayhawks (Oakland, CA) and the visiting Cloverdale Eagles (Cloverdale, CA), saw Head-Royce's basketball squad hold off Cloverdale by a tally of 48-42.
With the victory, Head-Royce improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Jayhawks host Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Lick-Wilmerding won 60-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Crystal Springs Uplands (Hillsborough, CA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Lower Lake Trojans (Lower Lake, CA) in a North Central I challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Cloverdale will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 54-46 non-league loss to Clear Lake (Lakeport, CA).
