December 29, 2022: Coldspring, TX 77331 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX) and the visiting Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX), saw Coldspring-Oakhurst's basketball squad hold off Vidor by a tally of 65-62.
With the victory, Coldspring-Oakhurst improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Trojans host Crockett (Crockett, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Crockett lost 52-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Vidor will attempt to improve on its 15-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 84-80 non-league win over White Hall (White Hall, AR).
