North Carolina High School Basketball - Coosa holds off Hayesville
December 29, 2022: Hayesville, NC 28904 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) and the host Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC), saw Coosa's basketball squad hold off Hayesville by a tally of 64-62.
With the victory, Coosa improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Franklin (Franklin, NC) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Franklin won 82-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Polk County (Benton, TN)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hayesville will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 56-55 non-league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC).
