Oregon High School Basketball - Country Christian ripped by Dayton
December 29, 2022: Dayton, OR 97114 The Dayton Pirates basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Country Christian Cougars to 28 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taft for a 3A PacWest contest on Tuesday, January 3. Dayton will meet a Tigers team coming off a 70-34 non-league loss to Newport (Newport, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 2-5.
The Cougars (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Portland Waldorf (Milwaukie, OR). The enter the 1A Valley 10 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Portland Waldorf was routed by Open Door Christian Academy (Troutdale, OR), 78-32, in a league contest.
