South Florence Bruins (Florence, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Dunbar Crimson Tide (Washington, DC), 63-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Florence upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 13-3. Carolina Forest won 72-45 in their recent non-league match against Waccamaw (Pawley's Island, SC)
