In Thursday's non-league match, the host East Gaston Warriors basketball team scored a good 64-48 triumph over the North Lincoln Knights.

In their next game, the Warriors meet the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 40 match, on Wednesday, January 4. East Gaston will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Ironmen enter the match with a 4-6 record after their 76-52 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
