Tennessee High School Basketball - LaVergne knocked off by Father Ryan
December 29, 2022: Nashville, TN 37204 The Father Ryan Fightin' Irish basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting LaVergne Wolverines to 39 in the Fightin' Irish non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Fightin' Irish now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christ Presbyterian Academy for a Division II-AA Middle contest on Tuesday, January 3. Father Ryan will battle a Lions team coming off a 66-64 non-league loss to Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA). The Lions record now stands at 11-2.
The Wolverines (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast (Clarksville, TN). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Northeast was defeated by Riverdale (Murfreesboro, TN), 68-63, in a non-league contest.
