Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad overcome Floyd Central by a tally of 63-54.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Marauders host Westfield (Westfield, IN) to confront the Shamrocks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3.
