Virginia High School Basketball - West Springfield nips Forest Park
December 29, 2022: Springfield, VA 22152 West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Forest Park Bruins (Woodbridge, VA), 63-57 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Springfield upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Spartans host Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA) to play the Titans in a District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Alexandria City won 75-66 in their recent non-league bout against Anacostia (Washington, DC)
Next up, the Bruins play the Charles J. Colgan Sharks (Manassas, VA) in a Eastern bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Forest Park will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Sharks go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 59-54 non-league win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA).
