Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lake Nona Lions (Orlando, FL) and the host Friends Academy Quakers (Locust Valley, NY), saw Lake Nona's basketball squad wallop Friends Academy by a count of 78-57.

With the victory, Lake Nona upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Boone (Orlando, FL) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Boone won 42-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin (Franklin, WI)
