Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gainesville Cardinals (Gainesville, VA) and the visiting Parkside Eagles (Washington, DC), saw Gainesville's basketball squad wallop Parkside by a tally of 69-35.

With the victory, Gainesville improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Jefferson won 62-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Millbrook (Winchester, VA)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Lightridge Bolts (Aldie, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Parkside will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Bolts come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 52-50 non-league win over Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV).
