The Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Veritas Prep Falcons to 40 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert Classical Academy for a 2A Valley contest on Tuesday, January 3. Leading Edge Academy - GEC will meet a Spartans team coming off a 68-50 non-league win over Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.

The Falcons (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon, AZ). The Phantoms enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Grand Canyon ran past Shonto Prep (Shonto, AZ), 71-26, in a non-league contest.
