Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Marcellus Mustangs (Marcellus, NY) and the host Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms (Syracuse, NY), saw Marcellus's basketball squad knock off Syracuse Academy of Science by a count of 61-44.

With the victory, Marcellus upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Solvay (Solvay, NY) to play the Bearcats in a Section 3 Onondaga - Liberty National challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-3.
