Virginia High School Basketball - Marion fells Rye Cove
December 29, 2022: Marion, VA 24354 Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), 58-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Marion upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Scarlet Hurricanes host Holston (Damascus, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Holston lost 53-47 in their recent non-league bout against John Battle (Bristol, VA)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Rye Cove will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 78-66 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
