Oregon High School Basketball - Stayton overwhelms Marshfield
December 29, 2022: Stayton, OR 97383 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Stayton Eagles (Stayton, OR) and the visiting Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR), saw Stayton's basketball squad wallop Marshfield by a tally of 65-23.
With the victory, Stayton improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Gladstone (Gladstone, OR) to play the Gladiators in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Gladstone lost 44-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Junction City (Junction City, OR)
Next up, the Pirates play the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Marshfield will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 42-41 non-league win over Monroe (Monroe, OR).
