The Mission Bay Buccaneers basketball team (San Diego, CA), was nudged 46-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX)

The Highlanders now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton Valley Charter for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30. The Woodlands will battle a Ugly Eagles team coming off a 51-25 non-league win over Memorial (Houston, TX). The Ugly Eagles record now stands at 10-2.

The Buccaneers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA). The Patriots come into the Western battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, Patrick Henry edged Rock Academy (San Diego, CA), 52-49, in a non-league battle.
