The Neuse Charter Cougars basketball team (Smithfield, NC), dropped 56-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC)

The Panthers now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 3. North Johnston will battle a Patriots team coming off a 76-40 non-league win over Triangle Math & Science (Cary, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 9-5.
