Timber Lake Panthers (Timber Lake, SD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Timber Lake upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Faith (Faith, SD) to play the Longhorns in a B Region 8 bout on Thursday, January 5. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Faith won 61-28 in their recent non-league bout against Dupree (Dupree, SD)

Next up, the Thunder play the Warner Monarchs (Warner, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. North Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
