The Riverside Warriors basketball team (Belle, WV), was nudged 56-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV)

The Big Blacks now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln County for a Freelance battle on Tuesday, January 3. Point Pleasant will battle a Panthers team coming off a 37-32 non-league loss to Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.

The Warriors (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Redskins come into the Mountain State battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Hurricane was nudged by Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 51-48, in a league battle.
