The Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC), 53-43 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Gators (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-3 record.

The Raptors now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham Charter for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. Research Triangle will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 55-19 non-league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Knights record now stands at 15-0.
