Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), saw Veritas Christian Academy's basketball squad overcome Smoky Mountain by a tally of 62-53.

With the victory, Veritas Christian Academy improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Temple Baptist (Asheville, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Smoky Mountain will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record.
