The Anson Bearcats basketball team (Wadesboro, NC), was toppled 45-30 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC)

The Eagles now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christ the King for a 1A/2A Conference 39 battle on Tuesday, January 10.

The Bearcats (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks come into the 2A/3A Conference 44 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Monroe was toppled by Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 45-17, in a non-league battle.
