December 29, 2022: Burgettstown, PA 15021 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) and the host Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA), saw Quaker Valley's basketball squad hold off Burgettstown by a tally of 47-46.
With the victory, Quaker Valley improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Quakers host Ambridge (Ambridge, PA) to confront the Bridgers in a WPIAL 4A 2 challenge on Monday, January 2. The Bridgers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Ambridge lost 75-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA)
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Burgettstown will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Flames come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 37-20 non-league loss to Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA).
