Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Catholic Central Sabers (Manistee, MI), 43-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Frankfort moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Panthers host Glen Lake (Maple City, MI) to face the Lakers in a Northwest game on Wednesday, January 4. The Lakers enter the game with a record of 4-0. Glen Lake won 61-16 in their recent non-league game against Fremont (Fremont, MI)
