The Perquimans Pirates routed the visiting Currituck County Knights basketball team by a final score of 60-22 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 game, on Tuesday, January 3. Perquimans will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 3-4 record after their 50-47 non-league win over Weldon (Weldon, NC).

With the defeat, Currituck County moves to 3-6 on the year. The Knights host Manteo (Manteo, NC) to face the Redskins in a 2A/3A Conference 15 game on Tuesday, January 3.
