Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX) and the visiting Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX), saw Cypress Creek's basketball squad hold off Lone Star by a tally of 47-44.

With the victory, Cypress Creek improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Jersey Village (Houston, TX) to confront the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Jersey Village lost 39-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Klein Oak (Spring, TX)
