December 29, 2022: Knoxville, TN 37920 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN), by a count of 55-30.
The Trailblazers (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Gate City was crushed by Central Wise (Norton, VA), 56-44, in a league outing.
The Cherokees now hold a 1-9 record. They play next when they host Fulton for a 3A District 5 outing on Thursday, January 5. South-Doyle will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 41-32 non-league loss to William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Falcons record now stands at 3-7.
