Illinois High School Basketball - Fieldcrest overwhelms Putnam County
December 29, 2022: Granville, IL 61326 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) and the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), saw Fieldcrest's basketball squad wallop Putnam County by a count of 52-28.
With the victory, Fieldcrest upgrades its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Eureka (Eureka, IL) to play the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Eureka won 52-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Princeton (Princeton, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Putnam County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 50-47 non-league loss to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL).
