McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets (Mobile, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fort Walton Beach Vikings (Fort Walton Beach, FL), 30-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McGill-Toolen upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Baldwin County (Bay Minette, AL) to clash with the Tigers in a 6A Area 2 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-15.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Williamson Lions (Mobile, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Fort Walton Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 43-25 non-league loss to Jackson (Jackson, AL).
