Oregon High School Basketball - Western Christian crushes Gold Beach
December 29, 2022: Salem, OR 97304 Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gold Beach Panthers (Gold Beach, OR), 56-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Western Christian upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Pioneers host Willamina (Willamina, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Tri-River bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Willamina lost 31-28 in their recent non-league bout against Warrenton (Warrenton, OR)
Next up, the Panthers play the Waldport Irish (Waldport, OR) in a 2A Valley Coast bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Gold Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Irish go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 52-27 non-league loss to Taft (Lincoln City, OR).
