Tennessee High School Basketball - Lumpkin County knocked off by Upperman
December 29, 2022: Baxter, TN 38544 The Upperman Bees basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Lumpkin County Indians to 45 in the Bees non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bees now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Macon County for a 3A District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Upperman will battle a Tigers team coming off a 63-43 non-league win over East Robertson (Cross Plains, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 4-9.
The Indians (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN). The Fighting Cyclones enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Elizabethton was defeated by Alcoa (Alcoa, TN), 75-69, in a non-league contest.
