December 29, 2022: Rockford, IL 61114 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the host Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL), saw Normal University's basketball squad hold off Lutheran by a tally of 53-46.
With the victory, Normal University improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to play the Cyclones in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Sacred Heart-Griffin lost 39-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record.
