December 29, 2022: Salem, IL 62881 Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), 75-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Rams travel to Benton (Benton, IL) to clash with the Rangers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Benton won 51-40 in their recent non-league bout against Marion (Marion, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 12-0 record after their 55-32 non-league win over Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL).
