December 29, 2022: New Providence, NJ 07924 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) and the visiting St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), saw New Providence's basketball squad hold off St. Rose by a tally of 43-39.
With the victory, New Providence improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Oak Knoll (Summit, NJ) to confront the Royals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Oak Knoll lost 66-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ)
Next up, the Purple Roses confront the Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ) in a Shore C - North challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. St. Rose will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Scarlet Fliers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 59-42 non-league win over Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ).
