Texas High School Basketball - Red Oak crushes Palo Duro
December 29, 2022: Amarillo, TX 79107 Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX), 53-27 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Red Oak upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Hawks travel to Lancaster (Lancaster, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Lancaster lost 33-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX)
Next up, the Dons confront the Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Palo Duro will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 42-40 non-league win over Portales (Portales, NM).
