Peach County Trojans (Fort Valley, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA), 42-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Peach County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Crisp County lost 49-19 in their recent non-league bout against Dougherty (Albany, GA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) in a AA Region 4A bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Westside will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The War Eagles come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 41-29 league loss to Butler (Augusta, GA).
