Virginia High School Basketball - Meadowbrook nips Freeman
December 29, 2022: Richmond, VA 23229 Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 51-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Meadowbrook upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Hopewell (Hopewell, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 1-1.
Next up, the Mavericks play the Glen Allen Jaguars (Glen Allen, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Freeman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 48-41 non-league loss to Manchester (Midlothian, VA).
