Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX), 56-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alief Elsik upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Pearland (Pearland, TX) to play the Oilers in a 6A Region III District 23 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Oilers come into the bout with a record of 12-9. Pearland won 75-41 in their recent non-league bout against Brazosport (Freeport, TX)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Clear Creek Wildcats (League City, TX) in a 6A Region III District 24 bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Clear Brook will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record.
