December 29, 2023: Andrews, TX 79714 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the host Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX), saw Olton's basketball squad hold off Andrews by a tally of 59-57.
With the victory, Olton improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Sudan (Sudan, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Sudan won 59-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Andrews will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 47-44 non-league win over Hanks (El Paso, TX).
