December 29, 2023: West Jefferson, NC 28694

Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 64-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Apex Friendship upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Watauga won 63-56 in their recent non-league bout against North Davidson (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the Huskies play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 76-42 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
