Virginia High School Basketball - Archbishop Rummel overwhelms Lake Braddock
December 29, 2023: Burke, VA 22015 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA) and the host Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA), saw Archbishop Rummel's basketball squad wallop Lake Braddock by a tally of 74-53.
With the victory, Archbishop Rummel improves its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA) to confront the Patriots in a 5A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. John Curtis Christian won 57-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Hahnville (Boutte, LA)
Next up, the Bruins confront the West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) in a District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Lake Braddock will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 65-47 non-league loss to Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD).
