December 29, 2023: Benton, AR 72015 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Archbishop Wood Vikings (Warminster, PA) and the host Benton Panthers (Benton, AR), saw Archbishop Wood's basketball squad hold off Benton by a tally of 89-82.
With the victory, Archbishop Wood improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Father Judge (Philadelphia, PA) to play the Crusaders in a Philadelphia Catholic challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Father Judge won 79-77 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodward (Cincinnati, OH)
Next up, the Panthers play the White Hall Bulldogs (White Hall, AR) in a 5A South challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Benton will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 64-38 non-league loss to McDonough (McDonough, GA).
