Texas High School Basketball - Bartlett topped by Sterling City
December 29, 2023: Sterling City, TX 76951 The Sterling City Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Bartlett Bulldogs to 38 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eldorado for a 2A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Sterling City will battle a Eagles team coming off a 34-28 non-league loss to McMullen County (Tilden, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 11-9.
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Thrall Tigers (Thrall, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 27 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Bartlett will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 18-1 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Wellington (Wellington, TX).
