Illinois High School Basketball - Stagg knocked off by Batavia
December 29, 2023: Batavia, IL 60510 The Batavia Bulldogs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Stagg Chargers to 44 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheaton-Warrenville South for a DuKane contest on Saturday, January 6. Batavia will battle a Tigers team coming off a 42-37 non-league loss to Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 6-5.
The Chargers (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Warriors enter the SouthWest Suburban - Red contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Lincoln-Way West ran past Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL), 54-50, in a non-league contest.
