December 29, 2023: Evensville, TN 37332 The Rhea County Golden Eagles basketball team (Evensville, TN), was toppled 66-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Bearden Bulldogs (Knoxville, TN)
The Bulldogs now possess a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greeneville for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. Bearden will confront a Greene Devils team coming off a 92-42 non-league loss to Kell (Marietta, GA). The Greene Devils record now stands at 7-6.
The Golden Eagles (19-3) will now prepare for their battle against McMinn County (Athens, TN). The Cherokees come into the 4A District 5 battle with a 3-8 record.
