Arkansas High School Basketball - Bentonville West thwarts Conway
December 29, 2023: Centerton, AR 72719 The Bentonville West Wolverines (Centerton, AR) basketball knocked off the visiting Conway Wampus Cats (Conway, AR), 61-51 in Friday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Southside (Fort Smith, AR). The Mavericks go into the 6A West test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Southside went down by Van Buren (Van Buren, AR), 78-62, in a non-league test.
The Wampus Cats now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to North Little Rock for a 6A Central test on Friday, January 5. Conway will encounter a Charging Wildcats squad coming off a 65-64 non-league loss to Bryant (Bryant, AR). The Charging Wildcats record now stands at 11-4.
