December 29, 2023: Cicero, IL 60804 The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs to 35 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Friday.
The Saxons now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield East for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Schaumburg will meet a Bengals team coming off a 67-57 non-league win over St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Bengals record now stands at 6-9.
The Mustangs (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Fighting Saints enter the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, St. Charles East was outscored by Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL), 67-57, in a non-league contest.
