Texas High School Basketball - West Texas holds off Borger
December 29, 2023: Borger, TX 79007 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) and the host Borger Bulldogs (Borger, TX), saw West Texas's basketball squad hold off Borger by a tally of 47-42.
With the victory, West Texas improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Comanches host White Deer (White Deer, TX) to confront the Bucks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Bucks come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. White Deer won 48-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland Park (Amarillo, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Pampa Harvesters (Pampa, TX) in a 4A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Borger will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record. The Harvesters come into the challenge with a 14-4 record after their 58-33 non-league win over Stratford (Stratford, TX).
