The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Mallard Creek Mavericks to 66 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Victory Christian Center for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Cardinal Gibbons will battle a Kings team coming off a 81-58 non-league win over Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Kings record now stands at 12-5.

The Mavericks (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Ragin' Bulls enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Hickory Ridge was nudged by Victory Christian Center (Charlotte, NC), 81-58, in a non-league contest.
