California High School Basketball - Mary Star of the Sea over Castaic

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) and the visiting Castaic Coyotes (Castaic, CA), saw Mary Star of the Sea's basketball squad overcome Castaic by a tally of 52-41.

With the victory, Mary Star of the Sea improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Hillcrest Christian (Thousand Oaks, CA) to confront the Saints in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Hillcrest Christian won 68-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Western (Anaheim, CA)

Next up, the Coyotes confront the Hart Indians (Newhall, CA) in a Foothill challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Castaic will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 82-60 non-league win over Lancaster (Lancaster, CA).
